Harrow International School Bengaluru is proud to bring the traditions and excellence of Harrow School in the UK to India.

Harrow School in the UK is one of the world’s most respected schools. It was founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter granted by Queen Elizabeth I.

Over the following 53 years, it has developed a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence, an extensive programme of holistic education and outstanding pastoral care. This is based around a House system, which is designed to foster a sense of belonging and to ensure each student is known and cared for individually.
Amongst the School’s alumni are some of the most influential figures in world history, including Jawaharlal Nehru, Sir Winston Churchill, Lord Byron, King Hussein and Lord Rayleigh, and also great literary figures such as Anthony Trollope and John Galsworthy.
The School has educated a host of Nobel Laureates as well as numerous leading figures in the arts, the sciences and the world of sport.
Harrow has also built-up long-established traditions in its 53-years history. These include its distinctive terminology and School dress (particularly the Harrow Hat), as well as the communal singing of Harrow Songs and Long Ducker, Harrow’s annual charity-fundraising sports event.
Harrow’s distinguished history will enrich the daily life of our entire community in Bengaluru. These customs will help to develop a strong corporate spirit and a sense of belonging to something bigger than oneself.
