Further developing the increasing global reach of the Harrow Family of Schools , it is the first Harrow-branded School to open in India. With the launch of its Upper Kindergarten and Primary School for Ages 5 - 10, Harrow Bengaluru continues to expand its vision of excellence to younger learners.

Primary School

We are pleased to announce that Primary School for Upper Kindergarten to Grade 5 has been launched in August 2025 thereby extending the opportunity to benefit from a Harrow education to younger children.

The Upper Kindergarten and Primary School will share the same campus as the Secondary School, ensuring continuity and convenience for Harrow Bengaluru families.

Secondary School

The Secondary School incorporates students from Grades 6 to 12 (UK Years 7 to 13). It consists of three phases: Lower Secondary for students aged 11 to 14, in Grades 6 to 8, Upper Secondary for students aged 14 to 16, in Grades 9 to 10 and the Sixth Form for students aged 16 to 18, in Grades 11 to 12.

VISION

Harrow International School Bengaluru’s vision is for our students to achieve not only outstanding academic results, but also to develop the character qualities and leadership skills to make a positive difference to the world in which they live.

Our students are encouraged to be creative and intellectually curious, to approach new opportunities with confidence and to learn to think for themselves, while being mindful of the needs and views of others.

They are encouraged towards this goal through a sense of inclusion and kindness derived from a strong house system which ensures that everyone, whether a boarder or a day student, feels fully at home and well supported in school.

Opportunities abound, thanks not only to outstanding facilities and an extraordinary range of activities, but also to the dedication of our staff, who are committed to their students’ learning and growth, both within and beyond the classroom.

The development of leadership qualities is central to a Harrow education.

Some of the great Old Harrovians, such as Jawaharlal Nehru and King Hussein of Jordan, are renowned for providing profound leadership at significant points in modern history. We aim to equip and challenge Harrow Bengaluru students to use their knowledge, skills and talents to make life better for other people in their community and the wider world.

MISSION

Harrow International School Bengaluru will bring exceptional international education to India.

It will allow a new generation of local and expatriate students to benefit from a schooling which yields outstanding examination results but also goes further, so as to build an enjoyment of learning and an intellectual curiosity, alongside a wider preparation for life and leadership, based upon the Harrow values of courage, honour, humility and fellowship.

Harrow International School

Ambitious students from across and beyond India will benefit from joining our boarding programme, whilst those living in and around Bengaluru will have the option to be either day or boarding students. In both cases, they will benefit from the holistic philosophy, sense of community, academic excellence and traditions of Harrow School, at the same time as enjoying the domestic and international opportunities generated through being part of the Amity Education Group. Our students will benefit from learning within a state-of-the-art campus, with the support of highly qualified teachers, drawn from around the globe.

With its international curriculum and its extended school day, allowing time to absorb a wide range of character-developing extra-curricular activities, Harrow Bengaluru will build a community which instils a global perspective and a readiness to engage with the world, whilst ensuring that its students appreciate the cultural significance of the modern India in which they live.

THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED THROUGH

  • Providing outstanding academic facilities and recruiting highly qualified and deeply experienced teaching staff, so as to deliver an exceptional academic programme which allows our students to gain entry to prestigious universities across the world.
  • Ensuring an engagement by all our students in a diverse extra-curricular programme, which will provide opportunities in sport, the performing arts, music and many other areas, hence developing character qualities such as teamwork, leadership, self-confidence, empathy and collaboration.
  • Encouraging an involvement in service activities both within the local Bengaluru community and more widely, so as to develop in our students an awareness of the world around them and their responsibilities to others.
  • Involving all students in our school-wide leadership programme, that recognises the significant roles they will fulfill in later life and prepares them through opportunities to guide others, to speak in public, and to build and lead teams in a wide variety of contexts.
  • Providing high-quality pastoral care, through a strong house system and a deeply embedded boarding ethos which provides a strong sense of community, encouraging an enjoyment of school and a keen commitment to the society our students are part of.
  • Presenting regular opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, through activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and through sporting, musical and cultural trips within India and around the world.
