Trips and Expeditions
Harrow International School Bengaluru in India offers a range of international and Hdomestic trips and tours. At Harrow International School Bengaluru we recognise the value of learning away from the classroom and exposing our students to international opportunities. Multiple domestic and international trips are offered to our students, allowing them to visit global universities, interact with students from other countries, and experience the diverse geography and culture of India
Expeditions
Educational visits, expeditions and residential trips are an important aspect of the curriculum and provide exposure to a variety of experiences outside the classroom for all our students.
These activities extend our students’ knowledge and understanding of the world and develop their skills, awareness, confidence and initiative in a practical way and in an informal environment.
Some visits, trips and expeditions are directly related to the curriculum or co-curriculum. Some are designed to promote cultural awareness, to enhance communication or physical skills or to develop self-reliance, leadership skills or teamwork. Examples include the International Award, Model United Nations, Wider Learning Days, Lower School Personal Development Week, and Upper School Leadership and Service Week, as well as many opportunities to travel for sports and other competitions.
Students of Harrow Bengaluru have travelled for two sports tour to the UK in the last 2 years. The first was the International football tour to the UK which was followed just six months later by a badminton, tennis, basketball and swimming tour, also to the UK. Students immersed in the British culture, with matches against top schools including John Lyon School and Harrow School UK, as well as a visit to prestigious institutions including LSE, UCL and Oxford
This trip allows students in Grade 10 to join Harrow students from across the globe to come together at Harrow School in London. With a strong service element, this extraordinary week has a profound impact on our students
Every student has the opportunity to join their grade level trip each year. Destinations have included Sri Lanka, Mussoorie, The Andamans, Coorg and the UK.
